A vase should look beautiful with or without flowers.  This one was wheel thrown using a warm brown stoneware clay.  The American Goldfinch was hand carved using the sgrafitto method and was inspired by one of my favorite summer things, sitting on the patio and watching (and listening) to all of the birds.  The Goldfinch has such an amazing array of calls and songs! We grow lots of catnip, that when it goes to seed is devoured by the finches!
