I made this Vase using the slab technique.   The Vase itself is made of tan stoneware.   When it was leatherhard,  I added porcelain slip lichen to the surface.  (Don't you just love lichen?)  It is glazed inside, so it can hold water, and the lichen has a glaze "wash" in deep brown.
